Our Story
Just Simple Homes is a property development company established in 2020 and a part of the JS Homes and Lettings group, trading since 2017. With a combined experience of over 60 years in the industry, our team consists of individuals, consultants, and contractors with a proven track record of delivering high-quality residential developments.
Our dynamic team works closely with funding partners, land agents, and leading design consultants, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure the highest quality standards in everything we do. At Just Simple Homes, we take pride in our readiness to deliver exceptional results and unparalleled customer satisfaction.
John Smedley, CEO & Founder
John founded Just Simple Homes at the start of 2020, building on his earlier venture, JS Homes and Lettings, established in 2017. With a lifelong involvement in construction and property, he brings over 20 years of professional experience. John's career began as a Graduate QS at Laing O’Rourke in 1998, rapidly moving up to senior management before diving into property development.
His journey in property started early, investing in his first property at 19. John's vision for Just Simple Homes came from a desire to streamline the process of finding, developing, and selling sites, leveraging lessons from his extensive career.
John's ability to forge strong, lasting connections with funders, staff, and industry partners has been instrumental in the smooth establishment of his business. When not working, John is passionate about sports including rugby and skiing, and values time with his family above all.
